The Lakshman Jhula, a 450 feet long suspension bridge built in 1939 |
The Laxman Jhula, where Laxman crossed the Ganga on a
jute bridge and now replaced by an iron suspension bridge, offers a spectacular
view of the river and beyond. The bridge is just a little more than a kilometer
away from a lovely resort, the Aloha on the Ganges.
The resort, spread over 20000 yards, stands on the banks
of the Ganga and opposite the Rajaji National Park. Built in contemporary
architectural style, this resort seeks to help our guests pursue their personal
and business agendas with leisure and luxury. But if you have definite
religious or adventure schedules in mind, just know that the resort has put
systems in place where these specific goals can be met to your satisfaction.
